MISSION & VISION

The mission of The Lincoln Theatre Association is to serve as the steward of the historic landmark theatre, as an incubator for talented, emerging artists in our community, as a presenter of the highest quality artists from around the world and as a creative partner that is an economic catalyst for the revitalization of the King Lincoln District and Downtown Columbus.

The Lincoln Theatre Association was established to broadly support our community through services and activities not offered by any other organization. Our goal is to provide the technical and artistic infrastructure that allows arts groups, especially emerging, African American companies, to work, learn, grow and become established. The artistic program for a season comes together through a combination of performances by the resident arts groups, co-presentations with other arts groups including King Arts Complex and CAPA, and rentals by individual artists and organizations. The renovation and re-opening of the Lincoln Theatre is fulfilling a long-postponed promise to a struggling area of the city. Even in its first year of operations, the theatre is providing a stimulus for new business and residential development that is helping to revitalize the King Lincoln District.
